Ethically collected after she had led a happy and fulfilled life with professional beekeepers in the enchanting Ashdown Forest (UK). A symbolic tribute to one of our planet’s most important pollinators, magically immortalised in 24-carat gold or fine silver by master alchemist John King.

🐝ETHICALLY SOURCED; All the bees used in the creation of our jewellery lived a happy life with professional beekeepers in the beautiful Ashdown Forest in the United Kingdom and died of natural causes. A summer bee lives for only 4 to 6 weeks, and a single beehive contains between 30,000 and 50,000 bees. After their death, a small number of them are donated to us by the beekeepers for our work.
🐝 MADE WITH MAGIC... All our jewellery is crafted by master alchemist John King, who transforms genuine natural objects into enduring talismans using the ancient art of electroplating.
Each bee is individually sealed by hand in a special epoxy resin, ensuring it is completely watertight and airtight; there is no drying, casting or replication involved. A stainless steel eyelet is then glued on by hand, an extremely precise process given the small and delicate dimensions. The tiny bees are then immersed in a copper bath, creating a fine 0.2-micron coating. After drying, it is given a final layer of 24-carat gold or .999 fine silver, and then polished by hand to finish it. The entire process takes about a week and involves delicate steps, quiet attention and great care, all to create a truly unique piece that contains both a story and a soul.

Packaging: The pendant comes in a 5 x 5 cm jewellery pouch with a drawstring and our logo. The pouch is packaged in an attractive black gondola box, signed by the artist and featuring our slogan: Love & light. Inside the gondola box, you will also find the collection of seeds and an explanation of our contribution to the Dutch Bee Foundation.
